A journey in downtown and around Turin, visiting the Egyptian Museum and the
Museo Nazionale del Cinema, located inside the symbol of the city: the Mole
Antonelliana; also visit the Royal Residences which made Turin become one of
the capital of baroque style, it is sufficient to raise the eyes to admire
the masterpieces of the great artists and architects of the time Guarino
Guarini, Filippo Juvarra, Ascanio Vitozzi who worked for the Savoy dynasty,
celebrating their splendors with original, elegant and opulent works; the
Sacra di San Michele which, from its altitude of almost 1,000 meters,
dominates the entry to the Susa Valley.
Day 1 : Arrive – Turin City Tour
Visit : Palazzo Carignano, Cathedral and Church
of S. Lorenzo, Palazzo Madama, Palazzo Reale, Mole Antonelliana, National
Museum of Cinema
Arrive in the morning and accommodation in hotel. Tour begins with the visit
of the old town. During the morning there will be the visit of Palazzo
Carignano from the outside, then the visit of the Cathedral and the Church
of S. Lorenzo. In the end of the morning guided tour of Palazzo Madama.
Free lunch, in the afternoon guided tour of Palazzo Reale, then proceed to
Museo Nazionale del Cinema, located inside the symbol of the city: the Mole
Antonelliana. In the evening dinner in a local restaurant.
Day 2 : Turin City Tour
Visit : Superga, Park of Valentino, Egyptian Museum, Galleria Sabauda,
Chiesa della Consolata
After breakfast departure for the visit of Basilica di Superga, from the
square near the basilica there is a fantastic view of the city. Proceed for
a walk in Park of Valentino, in which there is the possibility to admire
from the outside the sixteenth century Castle, included in the list of
UNESCO World Heritage Sites in 1997.
Free lunch, in the afternoon guided tour of the Egyptian Museum, Galleria Sabauda and of the
Chiesa della Consolata. In the evening dinner in a local restaurant.
Day 3 : Turin – Venaria Reale –
Agliè – Turin
After breakfast transfer to Venaria Reale to visit the fantastic Sabauda
royal palace. The Duke of Savoy Carlo Emanuele I wanted to build it as an
hunting centre, the first project was made by the architect Amedeo di
Castellamonte, then Filippo Juvarra and Benedetto Alfieri continued the
work. The Reggia is one of the most important Sabauda royal palace, in fact
the Royal Palace of Versailles is inspired from it. The inside is very rich
of paintings and trimmings which represent hunting time.
Free lunch, in the afternoon transfer to Agliè for the guided tour of Castle
Ducale.
Return in Turin and in the evening dinner in a local restaurant.
Day 4 : Turin – Sacra di San Michele
– Rivoli - Turin
After breakfast guided tour of the Sacra di San Michele. The “Sacra” is a
spectacular building which covers the rocky peak of Monte Pirchiriano. The
Sacra is one of the most important Benedectine Monastery in Europe.
Free lunch, in the afternoon transfer to Rivoli, located very close to Turin,
visit of Museum of Contemporary Art inside the Castle of Rivoli. In the
evening dinner in a local restaurant.
Day 5 : Turin – Racconigi –
Moncalieri – Departure
After breakfast transfer to Racconigi situated at the south of the city.
Arrive and guided tour of the castle.
Free lunch, in the afternoon visit the Caste of Moncalieri, then transfer to
the city of Turin and end of our services.
